Our Story

Ambika Vijay Farsan is a venerable and cherished culinary establishment with a rich history dating back to its inception in 1945. Founded by Motiben Chahwala in the comfort of her own home, this small-scale venture initially offered a handful of traditional Surti delicacies such as fafda and chai. Over the years, it has grown into a beloved culinary institution, celebrated for its wide array of delectable products.

After Motiben's passing, her legacy was carried forward by her son, Amrutlal Chahwala, and daughter-in-law, Pushpaben Chahwala, who expanded the business by introducing an extensive range of culinary delights. Following Amrutlal's tenure, his son Harishbhai Chahwala took the reins of the business and further diversified its offerings, expanding the menu to include over 150 different products.

Under Harishbhai's leadership, the business continued to thrive, and he invited his younger brother, Rajeshbhai Chahwala, to join him in the venture. Together, they transformed Ambika Vijay Farsan into a culinary destination renowned for its diverse and flavorful offerings.

The family's commitment to preserving and enhancing the culinary traditions of the Surti region led to the inclusion of more than 250 unique products in their repertoire. Additionally, the entrepreneurial spirit of the Chahwala family saw the establishment of a restaurant with the same esteemed name in one of Surat's most renowned area Mahidharpura, specifically Hira Bazar.

Continuing the tradition of familial involvement in the business, Harishbhai's sister's son, Amar Shah, was brought into the fold. Even after the untimely passing of Harishbhai, his son Anandbhai Chahwala stepped in to uphold the family's culinary legacy. Together, the cousins, Anandbhai and Amar, have successfully managed and expanded Ambika Vijay Farsan, ensuring its continued success and reputation as a culinary institution in Surat.
